How the conversion works

All rates are expressed relative to a single base currency (USD) internally. To convert from currency A to currency B, the calculator first converts your amount to USD, then converts that USD value into currency B — a standard "triangulation" approach used whenever you don't have a direct rate between every possible currency pair.
